Hotels in the AI app stores
Every hotel brand with a ChatGPT app or Claude connector, merged across platforms. Hotels are, so far, a ChatGPT phenomenon: 44 brands there against 56 on Claude. The major chains have nearly all shipped a ChatGPT app and gone direct — and underneath them sits a visible direct-booking layer.
Only 9 hotel brands appear on both stores: Accor, Wyndham, Bookingcom, EconomyBookings, Expedia, trivago, DirectBooker, Brek - Wholesale Booking, PLAZA. Every other hotel brand lives on a single platform — the two ecosystems are being stocked separately.

Brands merged from travel-category apps whose name reads as lodging — ChatGPT’s anonymous US view (the widest) and Claude’s directory, snapshot 2026-10-05. Segments are hand-classified; a brand’s several listings (e.g. an OTA on both stores) collapse to one row.
