Triathlon de l’Alpe d’Huez 2026, every split of every athlete

Three races over one long weekend, all finishing at 1,850 m after the same 21 hairpins: the long Triathlon L, the short-course Triathlon M, and the Duathlon. 3,861 ranked finishers between them, timed on up to 22 mats each. This explorer indexes the full timing data — rank at every mat, leg-by-leg rank flow, the Montée de l’Alpe as its own leaderboard, transition rankings, and a page per athlete with the second of the livestream where they cross the mat.

Rank churn across five legs

The order after the swim has almost nothing to do with the order at the line. Every race page opens with a bump chart of the leaders’ overall rank at the mat closing each leg.

The 21 hairpins, ranked

The Montée de l’Alpe is a real timed segment in all three races, between two measured mats — so its km/h are honest, not interpolated. Triathlon L also has the Montée du Grand Serre.

The timekeeper indexed the YouTube stream against every chip read. On an athlete page, the video link opens at the second they crossed the mat.

The same names keep coming back

The event runs over four days, and nothing stops an athlete entering more than one race. Emile BLONDEL-HERMANT won the Duathlon in 1:30:42 and was second in the Triathlon L two days later. That is not a data bug — the bibs are per race, and so are the results. Each race below is its own explorer with its own field, its own mats and its own rankings; nothing here merges an athlete’s races into a combined result.

Three things to know before you trust a number

Finishers, not entrants. The start lists hold 4,845 names; 3,861 of them were classified (Triathlon L 1,559 · Triathlon M 1,533 · Duathlon 769). Athletes who did not start, abandoned, or were ranked by how far they got are all in the data with no rank and no finish time, and never counted as finishers. A handful completed the course but were not classified — they keep a real time with no rank, so they show up in the histograms and never in a headline.
Most checkpoint distances are estimates. The timing provider publishes no distances. Five checkpoints per race are pinned from the split tables (they expose km/h alongside the time); the rest are interpolated between them and are marked ≈. Speeds are only shown where both ends of a segment are pinned — one interpolated span on the long course (Le Périer → Col d’Ornon) is known to be several km too long, which would credit the leaders with 50 km/h up to a col.
We disagree with the official timekeeper on two results. Times that are physically implausible for that athlete’s level are kept visible but excluded from the rankings here. Two of them are ranked by chronorace, the official timekeeper: Bart PROVOST is their Montée de l’Alpe winner in the Duathlon, and Bruno PERRIN their fastest bike in Triathlon M. Neither finished their race, and both times would be near-professional. We hold them back; the official results do not. It means “not credible”, not “cheated”.

About this project. Timing data from the official race timekeeping (chronorace), fetched once after the event and republished here with per-leg segment times, recomputed leaderboards and per-athlete pages the official results don’t offer. Photos, diplomas and livestream clips link straight back to the organiser’s own services. Same explorer engine as the L’Étape du Tour and Marathon de Paris explorers.
