Where Boats Anchor
Where Boats Anchor shows where boats actually stayed the night, and in what wind, at more than 12,000 anchorages in 62 countries. Ask about a bay and get its nights by wind direction and strength: "Cane Garden Bay: boats stayed here 457 nights in E 10 kt or more, gusting 13.1 to 33.7 kt." Ask where to go tonight and it reads tonight's forecast at your position, then lists the nearby places where boats have stayed in every wind the night brings. Each answer links to the bay on the map. Four tools: - find_anchorages: places near a position, in a wind you give or in tonight's forecast. - get_bay_evidence: one bay's nights by wind, its boats by type and length, and tonight's wind there. - get_climatology: the wind through the year at a bay, month by month. - list_regions: the countries and cruising areas covered. The answers carry the same figures as whereboatsanchor.com, nothing more. Read-only, no sign-in, no personal data.
