Walkability and pedestrian safety for any US address, from public data: scores, neighborhood search and roads where pedestrians were killed.

Open in Claude

SafeStreets scores how walkable and how safe for walking any US address is, from public data: OpenStreetMap, NHTSA crash records, the US Census, EPA and satellite imagery. Ask Claude about an address and get a 0 to 10 score with its four components: errands within a 15-minute walk, street safety, transit and walking comfort, plus the metrics behind each one. Compare places you are choosing between and see which component separates them. Find the most walkable neighborhoods in a city, or search 202,000 US neighborhoods by state, metro, county, home price, walkability and transit. List the roads in a city where pedestrians were killed, with deaths per year from NHTSA's Fatality Analysis Reporting System. Search SafeStreets research articles for figures you can cite and link. Every tool only reads. Coverage is the United States, and an address in another country gets a clear refusal with no score. The connector is free and needs no sign-in. A free API key adds your own allowance of 10,000 calls a month. Made by Streets & Commons.
