Gdzie jest schron
Gdzie jest schron ("Where is the shelter") helps people in Poland find the nearest shelter points: schrony, ukrycia and other civil protection sites. It uses the official public dataset of the Polish State Fire Service (Komenda Główna Państwowej Straży Pożarnej, CC BY 4.0), the same data as the gdziejestschron.pl map. What you can ask: - "Where is the nearest shelter to Warsaw Central Station?" - "Pokaż 3 najbliższe miejsca schronienia przy Rynku Głównym w Krakowie." - "How many shelter points are there in Małopolska?" Tools: - find_nearest_shelters: up to 10 shelter points nearest to a location in Poland (within 10 km). Each result has the address, county and voivodeship, straight-line distance, the access mode recorded in the source (24/7, set hours or on request), a link to the point on the gdziejestschron.pl map and a walking-directions link. - get_shelter_counts: number of recorded shelter points per voivodeship, or per county within one voivodeship. Read-only, no account or sign-in. The server stores no queries and receives only the coordinates of the reference point. Important: presence in the dataset does not confirm that a place is open, accessible or protective against a specific threat right now. Distances are straight-line. In an emergency, follow official RCB alerts and instructions from the emergency services, and call 112. Gdzie jest schron is an independent civic project and is not an official service of the State Fire Service.
