Fair Fare
ClaudecommunityWhat a taxi, Uber or Lyft ride should cost, airport pickup rules and flat fares, and a check for overcharged fares.

Fair Fare is a neutral fare check for taxis, ride apps and airport transfers in the US, Canada and the UK. It works out what a licensed taxi meter should charge from each city's official tariff (24 cities), what Uber and Lyft typically charge in New York from the city's own trip records (21.6 million trips), the cheapest time to ride, airport pickup rules, drop-off charges and flat fares (36 airports), and whether a fare already paid looks fair, with next steps and a ready message to send if not. It can also check whether a New York TLC driver licence number is active (TLC numbers are shown in every licensed car and published in the city's open data; the name on the licence is never returned). Read-only: it looks things up and returns an answer with a ready-made summary. No sign-in, and nothing about you is stored. Built by Good Turn Studio. More at https://fairfare.pages.dev
