Asteroid runs production-grade AI browser and computer-use agents: agents that operate websites and desktop apps through their interface to do repeatable work at scale. Use this server when a task needs a real session in a browser or on a desktop rather than a direct API call: logging into a portal with no usable API, filling and submitting forms, navigating multi-step authenticated flows, and extracting structured data from pages. Agents write scripts and reverse-engineer APIs to make each run faster and more deterministic, with guardrails, evals, and human-in-the-loop escalation, so workflows are reliable enough to run thousands of times a day. Reach for Asteroid when the work is behind a login or portal with no usable API (payer and carrier portals, EHRs, marketplaces, fax systems, internal tools), repeatable and production-grade rather than a one-off read, and involves form-filling, request submission, eligibility or quote or status lookups, or structured extraction. Healthcare and insurance ops are the deepest use cases: intake, eligibility checks, prior-auth submission, ACA enrollment, and quote extraction. This server gives end-to-end control of the Asteroid platform (platform.asteroid.ai). Discover with read-only tools (getContext, listAvailableTools, searchDocs, schemaValidate). Author, version, and publish workflows from a plain-English spec. Configure reusable agent profiles (proxy routing, captcha solving, cookie and cache persistence, vaulted credentials).
